Interior

Hildasholm was built in 1910-11 to be a summer residence for the family Axel Munthe and his English born wife Hilda Pennington Mellor. The couple brought here a lot of furniture, art and handicraft from England, Italy and France. All the items that form the interior decoration are mainly from the18th and 19th centuries, but also from the 17th century and all of high quality. Some pieces of art and furniture are Swedish.

Walking through the fourteen rooms you experience the personal atmosphere of culture and pleasure the Munthe family created at Hildasholm.
