The Foundation Hildasholm

Since 1980 Hildasholm is owned and administered by a foundation called Stiftelsen Hildasholm. The board has representatives from the donating family, Leksand Municipality, Leksand Church and an art historian appointed from Zorn Museum.

Axel and Hilda Munthe's son Malcolm donated the estate with all personal property to the newly formed foundation.

A major restoration took place during 1994-1999 with support from financial grants from the County Administrative Board, Dalarna, EU Structure Funds and the County Labour Boards.

Hildasholm was declared historic building in 1988.
